5.º D ENCENA "A NOITE DE NATAL" DE SOPHIA DE MELLO BREYNER ANDRESEN

No dia 18 de dezembro de 2019, sob a orientação da Professora Sandra Santos e em articulação com a Biblioteca Escolar D. Carlos I, os alunos do 5.º D da EB D. Carlos I levaram à cena uma adaptação da peça A Noite de Natal de Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen.

A mesma culminou com a entoação de duas belíssimas músicas de Natal ensaiadas pelo Professor Victor Santos de Educação Musical.

Ao longo de cinco sessões, os pequenos atores fizeram as delícias de Pais, Encarregados de Educação e outros alunos, despertando no coração de todos, o mais puro e terno espírito de Natal.

Parabéns a estes alunos e sobretudo à Professora Sandra Santos que tem dedicado algum do tempo da disciplina de Português ao desenvolvimento de atividades ligadas ao teatro e que em muito contribuem para a formação integral dos alunos.

SCHOOL LIBRARY D. CARLOS I JOINS THE INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM “CINEMA, 100 ANS DE JEUNESSE”

For the fifth consecutive year, the School Library at D. Carlos I School in Sintra, Portugal, develops activities within the scope of the National Cinema Plan. The National Cinema Plan is intended as a literacy plan for cinema and for the dissemination of cinematographic works among the school audience and aims to train school audiences, awakening in young people the habit of watching cinema, as well as valuing it as an art form amongst the educational communities.

It should be noted that the National Cinema Plan is a joint initiative of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, through the Office of the Secretary of State for Culture, and the Ministry of Education and Science, by the Office of the Secretary of State for Basic and Secondary Education, and operated by the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual, the Cinemateca and the Directorate-General for Education.

D. Carlos I School Library is thus associated with initiatives to implement the New Cinema Law that provide for the dissemination of cinematographic works of historical importance, particularly feature films, short films, documentaries and animation films produced in Portugal.

Therefore, and since D. Carlos I School Library's mission is to promote various literacies such as reading literacy, information literacy and media literacy, and believing that a program for cinema literacy among our students would help to consolidate this mission, it decided to integrate the workshops of the international program “CINEMA, 100 ANS DE JEUNESSE” as a pedagogical reflection program.

The project “CINEMA, 100 ANS DE JEUNESSE”, in which 43 workshops from 16 countries participate in the present academic year, is coordinated by CINÉMATÈQUE FRANÇAISE and has as a cultural partner in Portugal: the Association Os Filhos de Lumière with Cinemateca Portuguesa in Lisbon.

9th grade students from D. Carlos I School participate in these

workshops. The workshops which began in September 2019 and will continue until the end of June 2020, are run by a film professional, in this case Film Director Nathalie Mansoux, in collaboration with a Pedagogical Team, Teacher Cristina Didelet and Teacher Librarian Sandra Pratas e Sousa.

Throughout the first semester, and according to the * Rules of the Game that are given to all participants, students started doing small individual exercises. The * Rules of the Game are the basis of what should be thought and put into practice with filmmakers, teachers and students throughout the year, through practical exercises, so that they can explore and understand the issue to be worked on this year and that deals with “SENSATIONS IN CINEMA”.

In the second semester, these exercises will culminate with the creation of a collective essay film, always in relation to the * Cinema Question of the current year, that is, sensations in Cinema. It should be noted that each * Cinema Question is thought and chosen each year by the cultural partners of the 16 countries and the coordinators of the French Cinematheque. Also, its methodology is worked under the pedagogical coordination of Alain Bergala.

Before proceeding to the stage of making this * Collective Essay Film, it was essential to view excerpts from films associated with the exercises, which helped to specify and understand the issue. It is obvious that during these workshops it will be a regular practice to watch excerpts from films, in order to stimulate the questioning and creativity of the participating students.

The presentation of the students' collective essay films will take place in the summer of 2020 at the Cinémathèque Française in Paris, and will be attended by teachers, filmmakers, cultural partners, but also by small delegations of students from the 16 countries involved: Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Spain, France, India, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Mexico, Portugal, United Kingdom (England and Scotland), and Uruguay.

It is worth highlighting the shooting sessions in which our young filmmakers had the opportunity to divide themselves into technical teams and assume the role of film directors, taking responsibility for all technical and artistic decisions. These shootings fulfilled the main objective of making a real cinema experience possible, leading students to be able to make a film of their own.

One of the guidelines of this program is that the films made by students remain close to a universe of childhood and adolescence in which they play the leading roles, avoiding, for example, children playing adult roles. The goal is to express something "true" about the place they live and their way of life.

Also, in order to keep a record of their cinematographic journeys and help them reflect on their approaches, students are invited to express themselves in two ways: either through a "Cent Ans de Jeunesse Notebook", or through another notebook, which can be used in the classroom or at home. In it students can can post personal notes as if it were a diary, or through entries on the Cinémathèque française blog available at http://blog.cinematheque.fr/100ans20192020/.

Another objective to be pursued will be that each workshop presents itself, communicates and establishes a true exchange with the other 11 workshops in Portugal as well as with the other countries throughout the year.

It is also worth highlighting that this program is part of the Academies of Knowledge promoted by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and also of the project “O Mundo À Nossa Volta”, supported by the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual (ICA), and finally by the Municipalities of the participating schools.

Without the shadow of a doubt, this project will ensure an immersive experience for all who participate in it.

When searching for Universities, I always look for those with the course option of film studies because I really like cinema and I want to learn more about it and maybe someday become a filmmaker or work in the industry.

I started taking horsemanship lessons at the age of 11 years old and have never stopped. In my free times I enjoy watching movies.

BECRE D. CARLOS I PARTICIPA NOVAMENTE EM PROGRAMA INTERNACIONAL DE CINEMA

Pelo quinto ano consecutivo, a Biblioteca Escolar D. Carlos I desenvolve atividades no âmbito do Plano Nacional de Cinema. O Plano Nacional de Cinema (PNC) está previsto como um plano de literacia para o cinema e de divulgação de obras cinematográficas junto do público escolar e pretende formar públicos escolares, despertando nos jovens o hábito de ver cinema, bem como valorizá-lo enquanto arte junto das comunidades educativas.

De referir que o Plano Nacional de Cinema é uma iniciativa conjunta da Presidência do Conselho de Ministros, através do Gabinete do Secretário de Estado da Cultura, e do Ministério da Educação e Ciência, pelo Gabinete do Secretário de Estado do Ensino Básico e Secundário, e operacionalizado pelo Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual (ICA), pela Cinemateca e pela Direção-Geral da Educação (DGE).

A BECRE D. Carlos I associa-se assim às iniciativas de aplicação da "Nova Lei do Cinema" que preveem a divulgação de obras cinematográficas de importância histórica, e em particular das longas-metragens, curtas-metragens, documentários e filmes de animação de produção nacional.

Assim sendo, e uma vez que a Biblioteca Escolar D. Carlos I tem como missão a promoção das várias literacias: da leitura, da informação e dos media e acreditando que um programa para a literacia do cinema junto dos nossos alunos ajudaria a consolidar essa missão, a mesma decidiu integrar as oficinas do programa internacional "Cinema, Cem Anos de Juventude" como programa de reflexão pedagógica.

O projeto CINEMA CENT ANS DE JEUNESSE /CINEMA CEM ANOS DE JUVENTUDE, onde no presente ano letivo participam 43 oficinas de 16 países, é coordenado pela CINÉMATÈQUE FRANÇAISE e tem como parceiro cultural em Portugal a Associação *Os Filhos de Lumière com a Cinemateca Portuguesa em Lisboa.

As oficinas que tiveram o seu início em setembro de 2019 e decorrerão até ao final de junho de 2020, são animadas por um profissional de cinema, neste caso a Cineasta Nathalie Mansoux, em colaboração com uma Equipa Pedagógica, Professoras Cristina Didelet e Sandra Pratas, e nela participam alunos do 9.º A e 9.º E.

Ao longo do primeiro semestre, e de acordo com as *Regras do Jogo que são dadas a todos os participantes, os alunos realizaram primeiramente pequenos exercícios individuais. As Regras do Jogo são a base do que deverá ser pensado e posto em prática com cineastas, professores e alunos ao longo do ano, através de exercícios práticos, para que estes possam explorar e apropriar-se da questão a ser trabalhada este ano e que trata “AS SENSAÇÔES NO CINEMA”.

Estes exercícios culminarão no segundo semestre com a criação de um filme-ensaio coletivo, sempre em relação com a *Questão de Cinema do ano em curso, ou seja, as sensações.

De referir que a mesma é pensada e escolhida em cada ano em conjunto (pelos parceiros culturais dos 16 países e os coordenadores da Cinemateca Francesa) e a sua metodologia é trabalhada sob a coordenação pedagógica de Alain Bergala.

Antes de se passar à fase de realização deste *Filme-Ensaio coletivo, foi imprescindível o visionamento de excertos de filmes associados à realização dos exercícios, que ajudaram a precisar e a compreender a questão. E obviamente que ao longo destas oficinas será prática regular o visionamento dos excertos de filmes, a fim de estimular o questionamento e a criatividade dos alunos participantes.

A apresentação dos filmes-ensaio dos alunos terá lugar no verão de 2020 na Cinémathèque Française em Paris, e contará com a presença dos professores, cineastas, parceiros culturais, mas também de pequenas delegações de alunos oriundos dos 16 países envolvidos: Alemanha, Argentina, Brasil, Bulgária, Chile, Colômbia, Espanha, França, Índia, Itália, Japão, Lituânia, México, Portugal, Reino Unido (Inglaterra e Escócia), e Uruguai.

De destacar as sessões de rodagem em que os nossos jovens cineastas tiveram oportunidade de se dividir em equipas técnicas e assumir o papel de realizadores de cinema e chamando a si a responsabilidade de todas as decisões técnicas e artísticas. Estas rodagens cumpriram o objetivo principal de tornar possível uma verdadeira experiência de cinema, levando os alunos a conseguir realizar um filme de que se sentem os autores.

Uma das directrizes deste programa é a de que os filmes realizados pelos alunos permaneçam próximos do seu universo de crianças e adolescentes, evitando-se por exemplo que as crianças façam papéis de adultos.

A meta é a de exprimir qualquer coisa de «verdadeiro» sobre os seus lugares e hábitos de vida.

Também, para guardar um registo das suas jornadas cinematográficas e ajudá-los a refletir sobre as suas abordagens, os alunos são convidados a exprimir-se de duas maneiras : ou através do Caderno de Cinéma, Cent Ans de Jeunesse, ou outro caderno, que pode ser utilizado na sala de aula ou em casa, caderno no qual eles podem lançar notas pessoais como se se tratasse de um diário, ou ainda através de entradas no blogue da Cinémathèque française disponível em http://blog.cinematheque.fr/100ans20192020/.

Um outro objetivo a perseguir será o de que cada oficina se apresente, comunique e estabeleça um verdadeiro intercâmbio com as outras 11 oficinas de Portugal bem como com as dos restantes países ao longo de todo o ano.

Lembramos que este programa faz parte das Academias do Conhecimento promovidas pela Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian e também do projecto O Mundo À Nossa Volta, apoiado pelo Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual e pelas Câmaras Municipais dos municípios envolvidos, vários selos de indubitável qualidade cultural e didática.

Também sem dúvida que esta participação assegurará uma experiência imorredoira para todos quantos nela participaram!

VENCEDORAS DO CONCURSO DE MARCADORES DE LIVROS DO MÊS DAS BIBLIOTECAS ESCOLARES 2019

CATARINA ALVES PEREIRA, aluna do 6.º E do 2.º ciclo da EB D. Carlos I, alcançou o 1.º lugar do Concurso de Marcadores alusivos à obra de Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen realizado no âmbito das celebrações do Mês das Bibliotecas Escolares 2019.

O segundo e o terceiro lugar coube, respetivamente às alunas JULIA COSTA BUTTAFUOCCO e GIULIA SANTANA VENTURA, ambas do 5.º D.

De destacar ainda a atribuição de uma Menção Honrosa à aluna Beatriz Marques Cerqueira do 9.º C pelo seu magnífico trabalho.
